About the Workplace

Tingberg School is a F-6 school located in Lödöse, within walking distance from the commuter station and close to the bus stop.

We are directly adjacent to forests and nature, which we utilize daily. Approximately 400 students attend the school, and around 50 dedicated employees work here. About 200 students are enrolled in the after-school program, divided into three departments.

The students are offered their own separate workspaces in their classrooms to create a good study environment. Each school year, we conduct extensive value-based work that the entire school participates in. Our student health services are active and close to the students, and we are characterized by a good physical and psychosocial work environment with clear structures and routines.

We have high expectations for both students and colleagues and believe that everyone can become as good as possible. By creating a supportive and challenging learning environment, where each individual's needs and abilities are taken into account, we strive for everyone to have the opportunity to develop and reach their full potential.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for two craft teachers specializing in textile craft and wood and metal craft for teaching in grades 3–6.

High expectations for our students mean that we have no tolerance for certain students or groups of students falling behind. We expect all students to perform well. Through stimulating teaching that focuses on the student's learning, with the right support and motivation-enhancing instruction, students are prepared for the next step in their learning development and are made ready for upcoming stages.

Qualifications

You are a qualified and certified primary school teacher with a specialization in craft. You have social competence and are independent with a sense of responsibility. Previous experience as a teacher is an advantage, as well as experience with assessment for learning (AfL). We expect openness and a strong commitment to the mission. There should be a willingness to develop together with other colleagues at the school. You should have an easy time collaborating and be familiar with IT.

We place great importance on personal qualities and see that you are a leader who can adapt your leadership in the classroom to the situation.
